Your initial dental visit should be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you to spend an hour or more with our team. The initial visit is generally scheduled to include a comprehensive examination by a doctor and any necessary radiographs (x-rays). Whenever possible, a prophylaxis (dental cleaning) will also be performed at this visit. A comprehensive treatment plan for recommended dental procedures will be provided to you at the completion of your visit. Your doctor will be available to answer questions about treatment, and our treatment coordinators will be available to answer questions about costs, insurance and financing options. A scheduling coordinator is always available to assist you in scheduling a follow-up visit.
Our practice participates with many insurance plans and will assist you whenever possible with the filing and processing of your primary dental claims. Before calling the office to schedule your initial appointment, please have your insurance card handy as there is information contained on it that we will need.
If you belong to an HMO or DMO dental plan, you will most likely be required to select a primary dental office before scheduling your first appointment. If it has been less than 30 days since you have made your primary dental office selection, please ask your insurance company to send the insurance eligibility information to us by fax at (301)-977-1487. Once you have been formally assigned to our practice, you may schedule your initial appointment. If you have a traditional PPO plan or do not have dental insurance, you may call to schedule your initial appointment at any time. A new patient special is available for those patients without insurance. (Call for details)
Prior to being seen for an initial visit, please fill out our new patient forms and complete them prior to coming to our practice for your initial visit.
*Please be sure to bring a valid photo ID and an insurance card to your initial visit.
