To my patients,

Nearly 35 years into my career and through decades of changes in the dental field, my goals remain rooted in the same principles as when I began practicing dentistry:

    •    To provide my patients with affordable, consistent and compassionate oral health care, while keeping up with industry advancements and maintaining OSHA standards
    •    To educate my patients about the importance of oral health and wellness through proficient quality of care in as comfortable an environment as possible
    •    To create a family friendly practice, with a wide range of services, that best serves those to whom myself and my staff provide oral health services.
    •    To continue researching and developing new and alternative methods to providing dental care to our fastest growing population; seniors.

Growing up in the close knit community of Bayonne, NJ, I was one of very few children who looked forward to my semi-annual visit to the dentist.  When my brother, nine years older than I, entered The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1965, my interest peaked and the healthy competition that often brews between brothers guided my path forward.

In 1982, I graduated from The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine. Soon after, I moved with my wife to the Washington, DC metropolitan area to start our family and establish a private practice in Gaithersburg, MD, where it remains to this day.  During the early years, I pursued my passion for treating the geriatric patient by volunteering in the dental clinic of The Hebrew Home of Greater Washington and eventually became their Director of Dental Services.  During this time, I also established an internship with the former Georgetown University Dental School to expose students in training to the specific needs of the geriatric patient.

In 1990, I completed a certification in orthodontics, giving me the necessary training to provide comprehensive general and cosmetic dentistry services, including teeth whitening, braces and Invisalign, to patients of all ages.  During the past 30 years of my professional career, I have been an adjunct professor at The University of Maryland Dental School and a member of the Dean's Faculty, as well as an active member of the International Association of Orthodontics and the Southern Maryland Dental Study Club. In 2012, with my children grown and my practice firmly established, I returned to my passion for geriatric dental care by establishing District Mobile Dental, a completely mobile, comprehensive dental service specifically designed to meet the needs of today's senior citizens living in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

It is with the help, love, support, and effort of my family that I am able to provide dental services in a family friendly environment this many years later. My wife, Lori, manages my private practice and has done so since its inception in the early 1980's. My daughter, Jacqueline, manages District Mobile Dental operations, while my son, Noah, continues to grow and expand the operation, which is now servicing over 40 senior living communities in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia.  In 2017, my youngest son, Seth, will earn his degree from The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and I look forward to working alongside him. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my granddaughter, Sofia, who belongs to my oldest son, Adam, and his wife, Dana. I love playing golf, being by the beach, attending continuing education seminars, and providing high quality dental care to those in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

From our family to yours, we sincerely thank you for considering us for your oral health care. We look forward to helping you achieve and maintain a smile you can be proud of.
